In 1997, Ancora decided to pay tribute to the eternity of Rome with a pen that not only evokes its history, but transforms it into tangible art. Thus was born the Ancora Marmora Romana, a limited edition piece, produced in only 200 numbered copies, which combines the nobility of silver with the millenary inspiration of imperial marble.

Its body is made of purplish red celluloid resin, deep and translucent, reminiscent of Roman marble stained by centuries of history. Delicate panels of natural mother-of-pearl are inserted into its surface, capturing glints of light as if they were fragments of the Forum Baiano under the midday sun.

The cap, central ring and clip are crafted in solid sterling silver, without plating or imitations: just the authentic luster of the metal that Rome used on coins, temples and laurels. The balance between resin, mother-of-pearl and silver makes this piece an expression of serene power.
