Flemish table clock bracket type, with rosewood veneered case and ornamental bronze applications. It presents a front of simple architectural composition, with a facade topped by a semicircular arch raised on a simple base, molded in its upper part, raised on four bronze legs in the form of curly scroll towards the interior. The whole has a sloping top with curved angles, topped with a handle and with four fruit pinnacles adorning the corners of the cornice. Tracery ornaments decorate the bands and the corners.
The front of the clock has a double dial:
The upper dial features a richly decorated zodiacal disk, with illustrations of the signs of the zodiac on a gilt, circular background. In the center, it incorporates a moon phase indication, with a dark blue semicircle studded with stars and a stylized representation of the moon, partially hidden. This component makes it possible to follow the complete lunar cycle, adding astronomical and decorative value to the watch. On the outer edge of this dial is a ring with the names of selectable carillon tunes: Westminster, Whittington, Winchester. It is likely that this ring also functions as a chime selector.
The lower dial shows the time by means of elegant black Roman numerals on a silver metallic background. This dial is adorned with hand-painted floral motifs and heraldic elements, adding an aristocratic and ornate air to the ensemble. In the lower center, the inscription "Christiaan Huygens" is clearly visible, confirming the manufacture. The design incorporates golden details in the corners and edges of the dial, harmonizing with the size of the case.
