"Gaspar Hall, 1973.

Calder was formed in the Art Students League of New York, and in 1926 he realizes his first exhibition of painting, in the New York The Artist's Gallery. Before the end of the year he began his trip to Europe, which allowed him to meet the great figures of the time, such as Miró, Duchamp and Mondrian. Calder is one of the most renowned artists of the 20th century, with works in all the great collections of the world. From the MoMA in New York, where one of his sculptures decorates the main staircase, to the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. Other centers where he is represented are the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, the Städel in Frankfurt, the Kunstmuseum in Basel, the Reina Sofía in Madrid and the Tate Gallery in London.
