Classic carpet with floral motifs woven in the southeast of Iran, Laver is a village near Kirman, where the highest quality carpets were woven in this region. In spite of its age (ca. 75 years), and as a result of having been in a private collection, its use has been very limited and it is in a perfect state of preservation in its entirety.The drawing is called Espejo, due to the central floral motif floating on a spectacular smooth cochineal red background, with some slight abrash (stripes with a change of color) caused by the reaction to the dye or by a change in the dyeing. Also of great merit are the floral bouquets distributed in the borders around the perimeter of the plain background, connected to the floral border in an alternative way. It is interesting to appreciate the edge of the open border, which at no time closes or imprisons the drawing, leaving a small smooth area on the perimeter.The result is a carpet of great elegance and sumptuousness due to the perfection in the execution and distribution of its different floral motifs and the balance in its coloration.Estimated value 11.000 € - 14.000 €Price of departure
