Hellenistic sculpture represents one of the most important artistic expressions of Hellenistic culture and the final stage of the evolution of the Ancient Greek sculpture tradition. Terracotta figurines were part of everyday life since the prehistoric periods, but in the Hellenistic period, a different tradition of figurines created in series from molds, worked in naturalistic style and with a variety of themes that served various purposes, decoration, ex votos, funeral offerings, a low-cost practice that spread rapidly throughout the Hellenistic world.
