DESCRIPTION
Vase with handles. Roman Empire, I-III centuries AD.
Blown glass.
With export permit.
Measurements: 12 x 4 x 4 cm.
Small Roman blown glass vase, with tubular body with slightly widened profile at the bottom, circular foot and open mouth flanked by two delicate handles applied. The surface has helical decoration, generating a twisted rhythm that runs through the body and gives movement to the piece.
The glass retains an archaeological patina with iridescence, inlays and surface wear consistent with its age. These effects, produced by the natural alteration of the material over the centuries, enrich the visual reading of the object and underline its historical character.
This type of small vessels was part of the Roman glass production for everyday or ritual use, often linked to the storage of oils, ointments or aromatic substances.
