Created to mark the 28th anniversary of A Bathing Ape, this BE@RBRICK is part of the project jointly developed by BAPE and Medicom Toy throughout 2021. The 1000% version was part of the final release of the commemorative collection and features the signature BAPE CAMO in a multicolored combination, applied here to the large-scale BE@RBRICK. Medicom Toy officially documents this series in the 1000% format, with an approximate height of 70 cm.

The design brings together several of BAPE’s most recognizable visual elements: the organic-shaped camouflage pattern, the Ape Head on the back, and the large number 28 on the torso—a direct reference to the brand’s anniversary. The collaboration is particularly representative of the intersection between streetwear and contemporary collecting that characterizes both BAPE and BE@RBRICK. The brand itself notes that this anniversary series was developed in 2021 in partnership with Medicom Toy, a regular collaborator of BAPE.

Founded in Harajuku in 1993, A Bathing Ape became one of the leading names in Japanese streetwear, developing an instantly recognizable graphic identity through motifs such as APE HEAD, BAPE CAMO, BAPE STA, and BABY MILO. Its numerous collaborations with brands, artists, and manufacturers have expanded this visual language beyond fashion, and its ongoing partnership with Medicom Toy has made BAPE’s BE@RBRICK figures among its most iconic collectibles.
