Camellia Flap Limited Edition Handbag.
Made of raffia with a matelassé finish, featuring exposed, unfinished stitching. Gold-tone hardware. Swivel clasp on the flap, which is adorned with two camellia-shaped appliqués in the upper right corner. Chain handle with interwoven raffia fabric and a red interior with pockets.
In very good condition with minimal signs of use.
Measurements: 16 x 25 x 7.5 cm.
This limited edition is one of the summer versions most sought after by collectors. In the late 2000s and throughout the 2010s, creative director Karl Lagerfeld began experimenting extensively with organic and informal textures for the famous Cruise and summer collections. Lagerfeld decided to break away from the rigidity of traditional leathers (Lambskin and Caviar) by launching the classic flap-top style crafted from woven organic raffia.
