DESCRIPTION

Fan thousand faces; China, XIX century.
Carved wood. Paper country.
Hand painted.
Measurements: 50 x 30 cm.
This type of fans, so called because of the application of small ivory plates for the faces, although in this particular case they do not have it, are characterized by the paper country, hand painted, with large scenes set in gardens, inspired by the ancient Chinese court. A palette similar to that of porcelain usually predominates.
