The Les Cavaliers d’Or by Hermès is an iconic silk scarf designed by artist Vladimir Rybaltchenko, known by his artistic name Rybal. First introduced in 1975, this design is one of the maison’s great classics and stands out for its inspiration drawn from the extraordinary gold treasures of the ancient Scythians, the nomadic people who inhabited the Eurasian steppes between the 7th and 3rd centuries B.C. The scarf was created to accompany a major exhibition dedicated to Scythian art held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York that same year.
