DESCRIPTION
Attributed to FLAVIO POLI (Italy, 1900 - 1984) for possibly Seguso Vetri d'Arte.
Vase. Italy, ca. 1960.
Murano glass In blown glass with sommerso technique.
Very good overall condition, with slight signs of use commensurate with age.
Measurements: 35.5 cm (height); 17 cm (diameter approx.).
Sculptural body vase made of Murano glass with overlapping layers of color by sommerso technique. It presents an intense ruby red tone in the upper part that merges with a base in amethyst tone, generating a marked effect of optical depth. The shape, with faceted base and ascending development towards a slightly flared neck, responds to the models produced in Murano during the 1960s.
For its formal and chromatic characteristics, the piece is in the line of designs developed by Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d'Arte.
