*Infinite Dance* is part of a posthumous edition that transfers a design by Salvador Dalí to porcelain. The composition features a female figure in motion, rendered through a stylized and elastic anatomy that reflects the artist’s interest in dance, the metamorphic body, and the representation of continuous movement. The screen-printing on porcelain allows for a sharp reproduction of the design and combines it with applications of fine gold, which add luminosity and emphasize the piece’s ornamental character.
Salvador Dalí was one of the central figures of Surrealism and one of the 20th century’s most internationally renowned Spanish artists. His body of work spanned painting, sculpture, printmaking, film, design, and the decorative arts, translating his imagination into a wide variety of techniques and media. His work is housed in institutions such as the Dalí Theater-Museum in Figueres, the Reina Sofía Museum, MoMA in New York, and the Salvador Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg.
