DESCRIPTION

French miniature from the end of the 18th century-early 19th century.
"Vivre et mourir ensemble".
Ink painting on oval celluloid plate.
Measurements: 4 x 3,5 cm.

The miniature in tender is a clear manifestation of love. It represents the base and the inferior third of the shaft of a column with the initials and the date of a prosperous marriage. Doves and waving phylacteries embellish the composition, which takes place in a natural setting.
