This Mickey Mouse wall clock, designed by acclaimed American architect Michael Graves, is a vibrant piece of design. Its stainless steel rim (available in black or chrome) incorporates twelve Mickey silhouettes that replace the numerals. The sky blue inner dial, along with yellow and red hands, creates a cheerful and distinctive color palette, perfect for adding a touch of post-modern design to any playroom or children's room.
Michael Graves was an influential American architect, product designer and educator, considered one of the most prominent exponents of 20th century Postmodernism. A member of the "Five Architects" group and later the "Memphis Group," Graves became famous for his style that reintroduced figurative elements, color, and historical references into modern architecture, exemplified in notable works such as the Portland Building and the Humana Office Building. In addition to his more than 350 buildings designed globally, he achieved popular recognition for his prolific work as a designer of household products (most notably Alessi's iconic whistling teapot), earning him comparisons to the Old Masters and distinctions such as the AIA Gold Medal in 2001. After suffering partial paralysis in 2003, he became an international advocate for design focused on healthcare and accessibility.
