The figure rises from a circular base like a suspended presence, reduced to the outline of a body concealed beneath a fabric. The folds traverse the surface in an ascending, helical motion, alternating between tight sections and broad undulations that suggest the anatomy without fully revealing it. Its small scale concentrates the tension between stillness and dynamism, while the white finish reinforces its ethereal appearance.

The title refers to Nike, the Greek goddess of victory, and to the classical tradition of wind-swept drapery. Campagnoli, however, replaces heroic exaltation with an anonymous, fragile, and self-absorbed figure. The work revisits his concept of “plaster armor,” understood not as a literal reference to the material, but as a symbolic envelope that preserves the model’s physical and emotional presence, revealing its interior precisely through that which conceals it.

Pietro Campagnoli lives and works in Turin and studied New Technologies in Art at the Accademia Albertina. His recent projects include *About a Boy* at the Università della Svizzera italiana in Lugano and *Metaquadreria* at the Italian Cultural Institute in New York in 2024; *Corpi Custoditi* in Turin and *Per Astra ad Aspera* at the Forte di Bard Museum in 2025. In 2026, he will participate in *Fissure of Lights*, an official collateral event of the 61st Venice Biennale.
