Colita started in the world of photography with Paco Revés and trained with Xavier Miserachs and Oriol Maspons. He began his career in 1961, and from that moment on he showed a great interest in dance, especially in flamenco. Later he will also dedicate himself to portraiture and reportage. Throughout her career she has held numerous exhibitions, especially of portraits of Catalan artists and singers of the Nova Cançó, such as Serrat, Motta or Fliu, and is considered one of the best portraitists of this genre. She has also published books such as "Guia secreta de Barcelona" (1974), "Els cementiris de Barcelona" (1982) or "L'Eixample de Barcelona" (1982), among others. Two exhibitions of his work are particularly noteworthy: the one entitled "A rose is a rose, is a rose, is a rose, is a rose", with Xavier Olivé, at the Fundació Joan Miró (1979), and the individual exhibition entitled "Colita, perquè sí", at La Pedrera in 2014. She has received numerous awards, including the Creu de Sant Jordi (2004), the FAD Sebastià Gasch Award (2008), the International Terenci Moix Award (2011) and the National Photography Award (2014), although the artist rejected the latter.
