Silver cast in its colour, glass and print on paper.
In good state of preservation.
Measurements: 5 x 4,5 x 1 cm.
Reliquary of window in silver, with work of vegetable filigree in its openwork border, presenting a delicate work of silverwork. The image of the Holy Face on the cloth of the Veronica presides over the print, protected by a bevelled glass with a bevelled profile.
Reliquaries of this type were common from the Gothic period onwards, used to contain relics of saints. It should be remembered, however, that at that time practically any item that had been in contact with the saint or his mortal remains (cloths, burial soil, etc.) was considered to be a holy relic. It could be worn as a pendant.
