Silver thread, glass and painted glass.
In good state of preservation.
Measurements: 6 x 4.5 x 0.2 cm.
Window reliquary dated from the 18th century with a round structure made of silver. The piece stands out for the delicate work of the silverwork that can be seen in the filigree work that forms the frame of the piece, finished off in the upper part with a kind of ring that allows the piece to be hung. As for the devotional images it contains, one of the sides shows the Holy Face, while the back has a representation of the Virgin of Sorrows.
Reliquaries of this type were very common from the Gothic period onwards, used to contain relics of saints. It should be remembered, however, that at that time virtually anything that had been in contact with the saint or his mortal remains (cloths, burial soil, etc.) was considered a holy relic. The best examples were made of precious metals.
