DESCRIPTION

Antique barometer mounted on a propeller blade, 20th century.
Carved mahogany wood.
Measurements: 25 x 113 x 5 cm.

This barometer is probably a souvenir of the Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS), the air branch of the British Royal Navy during the First World War. The dial indicates the atmospheric pressure, which is useful for weather forecasting.
