Baroque painting representing an allegorical scene with putti, naked infantile figures with mythological connotations, which in this context are related to Dionysus, the god of wine. Four putti participate in a grape harvest scene, picking grapes and drinking from their crystal goblets. The plump boys pour wine, wearing crowns of vine leaves (symbol of Dionysus/Bacchus). Some appear drowsy, others intoxicated, a third is more awake, stretching out to reach the bunches of grapes hanging from a vine. They are set in a wooded setting, with a large presence of trees, a cave and vegetation, especially vine leaves. The partially cloudy sky adds drama and depth to the scene, typical of the baroque style. The chromatic palette is dominated by earth tones, golds, dark greens and ochers, with details in red (the cloak of the boy pouring the wine) that generate a visual focal point. The light softly illuminates the bodies, models them and creates soft shadows.

The scene alludes to bacchanalian rituals or celebrations in honor of Bacchus, and can be understood as an allegorical representation of innocence combined with sensory pleasure. It is also an exaltation of nature, abundance and wine, with a playful and symbolic charge. This type of scene was common in Italian Baroque painting, where mythological allegory and symbolism coexisted with the detail and theatricality characteristic of the period.
