The painter Juan Belda was formed in the School of Fine Arts of San Carlos, in Valencia, where he was a favorite disciple of Joaquín Agrasot. He became known through the National Exhibitions of Fine Arts, being awarded in 1892 with honorable mention for "La última corona". He also participated in other competitions, such as the Alinari Competition in 1900 or the Valencian Regional Exhibition, where he was distinguished with a second medal. In 1896 he was awarded the National Medal of Fine Arts. He is currently represented in the Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia.
