LUIS GARCÍA OLIVER (Manises, Valencia, 1907 - 1977).
"Still life", 1942.
Oil on canvas.
Signed and dated.
Measurements: 54 x 66 cm; 66 x 77 cm (frame).
Author mainly of figure subjects, especially portraits, although he also represented animals, landscapes and still lifes of flowers, Luis García practiced both painting and watercolor. Born in Manises, he lived most of his life in Barcelona. He cultivated a language of impressionist heritage, with vibrant brushstrokes and especially sensitive to chromatic and light values.
