Landscape painter from Madrid, Ricardo Montesinos cultivates a painting based on the emotions, of classic root in the formal and dominated by a masterful knowledge of the light, the color and the atmospheric aspects. His work is marked by a sensitivity of born colorist, poured in the most delicate ranges of grays, ochers, reddish, blurred in its delicate atmosphere, silver or golden depending on the occasion, depending on the light of each place. Throughout his career, Ricardo Montesinos has held several solo exhibitions, such as the one held at the Durán gallery in Madrid in 1988 or the one that took place two years later at the Carmen Andrade in the same city, and has taken part in competitions such as the Salón de Otoño in Madrid, in which he was awarded the El Corte Inglés Prize in 1983, and the honorary Premio Extraordinario Reina Sofía in its 2010 edition. Likewise, in 2011 he was awarded the Antonio Casero Medal in the San Isidro de Madrid Plastic Arts Contest. He is currently represented in several private collections.
