The scene shows a Catalan rural landscape of the mid-twentieth century, treated with an air of manners and serene. In the center of the composition, a peasant woman crosses a dirt road. She carries a large basket, where you can see bushes, probably gathered in the nearby field. A small cart pulled by a donkey advances along the same road.

In the background are rural houses with tile roofs. Among them stands out a medieval tower, whose presence adds a historical character to the landscape. Behind this first row of buildings, another area of whitewashed and uniform houses is insinuated, extending the depth of the horizon. In the foreground, on the right, is the edge of a forest. This shady area contrasts with the clarity of the road and the brightness of the houses.
