Painter, sculptor, engraver and muralist of international renown, Cristóbal Gabarrón began exhibiting in Madrid at a very young age, and his language soon evolved towards abstraction. In 1967, at the age of twenty-two, he held exhibitions in New York and Paris, initiating a successful exhibition career that would take his work to important galleries and art centers in Europe and the United States. He has won important awards such as the Grand Prize for Painting at the II Biennial of Mediterranean Encounters (Dubrovnik, 1997), and has created numerous public monuments. Today he is mainly represented in the museum that bears his name in Valladolid.
