La Tâche is an appellation of controlled origin and Grand Cru vineyard for red wine, within the Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy. The main grape variety of the area is Pinot Noir, cultivated since ancient times. The name Tâche, which means "task", comes from the 17th century, when the vineyards covered a much smaller area than today. It was in the 18th century that La Tâche achieved its fame, since Louis François I de Bourbon, Prince of Conti, managed to make the wines of the area the highest quality in the Vosne area.
The images of each lot are the actual images of the object and are therefore part of the cataloguing. Thus, the buyer accepts that the condition of the wines is shown in the images and/or in the cataloguing, and that the content and the fragility of the cork and the seal are not the responsibility of Setdart Auctions.
