BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
CLAUDE COLLET (Geneva, 1929- Barcelona, 2007).
"Female nude", 1980.
Polychrome ceramic plate.
Signed and dated on the base.
Measurements: 23 cm (diameter).
Daughter of Charles Collet, who had been a professor at the Escola Massana and one of the founders of the Cercle Maillol in Barcelona in 1947, and the ceramist, goldsmith and painter Eugénie Millioud, known as Ninon Collet, Claude Collet was an excellent ceramist. Her work shows a schematic figurativism that evolves from initial pieces, where static images predominate, to the 80s, with visions of almost fairy-like women, reaching the limit of abstraction in the 90s. Currently his work can be found in the Museum of Modern Art of Tarragona, in the Museum of Contemporary Art of Ibiza, in the Library Museum Victor Balaguer of Vilanova i la Geltrú and in the National Library of Spain, among others.
