Vase or centerpiece in hand-painted porcelain. It takes the form of aquatic vegetable stems, as we observe by the base dotted with rockery motifs and shells. A nymph or naiad worked in round bulk seems to merge with the sinuous shoots that caress her supple torso. Strings of flowers decorate the mouth of the vase. The whole has the sensual and delicate play characteristic of Art Nouveau or Jugendstil.
