The "Zodiac" series is one of the most ambitious and recognizable porcelain editions of the Dalinian universe. Each plate is dedicated to one of the twelve signs of the zodiac, reinterpreted by Dalí with his unmistakable surrealist language: hybrid figures, metamorphic animals, fragmented bodies and dreamlike landscapes floating in unreal spaces.

The central images, drawn with loose and expressive strokes, combine applied gold, sepia and black tones on a light background, evoking both classical astrological iconography and the artist's characteristic graphic automatism. Around each scene, the flange of the plate presents a circular border with repeated zodiacal symbols, treated in gold, which reinforce the ritual and cosmic character of the whole.

The composition of each piece balances humor, veiled eroticism and mystery, turning the signs into psychological archetypes rather than simple astral representations, an approach very much in keeping with Dalí's interest in astrology, science, destiny and the subconscious.

During the final decades of his career, Dalí developed numerous series on decorative supports - porcelain, glass, furniture - conceived as serial works of high artistic level, intended for an international collecting public. Astrology and universal symbolic systems were recurring themes at this stage, and the Zodiac allowed him to address the relationship between myth, personality and human destiny.
