In this painting of romantic style, in which a young and passionate lady is represented playing the piano, the painter's meticulous and precious stroke, his careful style, capable of extracting brilliant tonalities that give vivacity to the gestures, to the flesh tones and attires, is evident. Thematically, we also see the author's preference for the painting of mansions, in accordance with the taste of the bourgeoisie of his time. The palatial interior, the aristocratic furnishings, the lavish attire, compose a picture that is imbued with the delicacy of a miniature.
