DESCRIPTION

NIELS OTTO MØLLER (Denmark, 1920 - 1982).
Set of six chairs, Mod.82 in rosewood and leather, Denmark, 1960.
Manufactured at J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik.
Measurements: 95/53 cm.
Designed by Niels Otto Møller for JL Møllers in 1954, Model 82 is possibly the most elegant ever made by the Scandinavian company.
Its solid rosewood frame is a sculpture!!!!
The seat retains its original thick leather and 2 are delivered in black, ideal for marking table heads and 4 in cognac.T hey are all in exceptional condition. The structure of one of them suffered an old repair (see photo).
Danish cabinetmaker and designer Niels Otto Møller is especially known for his elegant furniture in teak, rosewood and rosewood. One of the best representatives of post-war Danish furniture design, his creations are characterized by their high technical and material quality. He completed his apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker in 1939, and then continued his studies at the Aarhus School of Design. In 1944 he founded the furniture factory J. L. Møller in the same city. From then on, he would publish all his creations through this firm, which is still active today and managed by his heirs. Throughout his career, Møller won numerous awards, including the Danish Furniture Prize in 1974 and 1981.
