Elegant desk designed by Gianfranco Frattini, made of rosewood, which stands out for its functional, clean and balanced design, characteristic of Italian taste. The generously sized rectangular top houses four perfectly integrated drawers at the waist, maintaining the visual purity of the piece. The desk is raised on two geometric legs, where each side is formed by two inverted triangles: a larger one that expands at the base to form the feet, and a smaller triangle that visually connects with the top. Both legs are joined by a simple crossbar, which provides stability without interrupting the lightness of the design. The choice of rosewood, with its rich, contrasting grain, endows the ensemble with warmth and sophistication, reflecting the harmony between aesthetics and functionality that distinguishes Scandinavian furniture of the period.

Gianfranco Frattini belongs to the generation of Italian designers of the fifties and sixties. He studied architecture at the Milan Polytechnic, and began his career as an industrial designer when he realized that he needed appropriate furniture and lighting for the interiors of his architectural projects. In 1956 he was one of the founders of ADI, Associazione per il Disegno Industriale. Throughout his long career, Frattini collaborated with Gio Ponti, worked for Cassina and Acerbis, and designed lamps for Artemide, as well as being a member of the Milan Triennale and designing for Knoll.
