Handmade floor lamp made of stainless steel. It presents vertical stylized structure with tripod base foot slightly curved, topped by cylindrical textile screen in light tone. It incorporates three lamp holders, arranged to provide a balanced and enveloping illumination. Representative of the sober and functional language characteristic of Jordi Vilanova's pieces, with careful craftsmanship and attention to construction detail.
Jordi Vilanova was an interior designer and cabinetmaker, trained at the Escuela de la Lonja in Barcelona and in the workshop of Busquets, later collaborating with Lluís Gili. He was founder of the magazine Questions d'Art (1967-1974) and an active member of the Colegio Oficial de Decoradores y Diseñadores de Interiores de Barcelona and the SAD. A specialist in children's furniture, he won the Delta de Plata Award (ADI/FAD, 1964) for the Delta stool. His work is represented in the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona, and among his most renowned designs are the Tiracord and Billar chairs, as well as the Tartera and Petit rockers.
