This coat rack reflects the mid-20th-century design trend of transforming the most functional household objects into visually refined structures. Its linear composition is structured by a walnut rail on which geometric lacquered iron plates and wooden hooks are arranged, creating a modular rhythm that serves as the piece’s primary visual feature.

The combination of walnut’s warmth and natural grain with the dark metal surfaces reflects the period’s taste for hallmarks of contrast between traditional materials and industrial-style solutions.
