In very good overall condition, with slight signs of wear and a patina consistent with its age. Wiring has been checked and is in working order.

Pair of French wall sconces made of brass, copper, and metal, designed as botanical compositions with a distinctly sculptural character. Each piece features a conical lower body made of perforated metal, from which extend long leaf-like elements of embossed and shaped sheet metal, along with curved metal arms that culminate in corolla-like shapes and house the light sources.
The combination of warm metals, the handcrafted detailing of the leaves, and the three-dimensional interpretation of botanical motifs place these pieces within the naturalist and organicist movement of French decorative lighting from the 1950s and 1960s by Maison Lunel.
Maison Lunel was one of the French firms involved in the production of decorative lighting in the mid-20th century. It was primarily active in Paris during the 1950s and 1960s. The firm was associated with Raymond Lunel. Until approximately 1955, R. Lunel was listed as the manufacturer at a Paris address. At that time, Raymond Lunel established Royal-Lumière, with a factory in Montreuil, while the downtown Paris location continued to operate as a retail space and showroom. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, both names appear to be associated with the company.
