Large floor lamp made of wrought iron, designed with a distinctly sculptural and ornamental character. The structure stylistically mimics the appearance of bamboo, featuring a vertical shaft divided into distinct sections and a base with open, sinuous forms that lends visual lightness to the piece. At the top, the curved arms and small, plant-inspired volutes frame a spherical shade made of white opal glass, whose surface gently diffuses the light and creates an attractive contrast with the darkness of the iron.
The piece is particularly representative of the taste for handcrafted wrought iron and organic forms that characterized much of mid-20th-century Spanish interior design. In contrast to the geometric austerity of other trends in modern design, this lamp revives a more decorative style, based on the evocation of natural elements and the handcrafted work of iron.
