Jean Garnier was a French sculptor active during the Art Nouveau period, famous for his bronze sculptures and decorative vessels. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, where he received an honorable mention in 1892. Garnier distinguished himself by his remarkable ability to depict movement and realism in human figures. His works captured everyday scenes, such as dancers and workers, with a particular focus on rural and allegorical subjects, exemplified in pieces known as "La Gigue" and "Le Chant de la Glaneuse".
