This vase-flower vase, representative of the Art Nouveau period, is made of silver-plated pewter and has markedly undulating forms that simulate reed leaves. The piece exhibits rich symbolic imagery: a satyr's head emerges from the front of the mouthpiece, while the lower rear part shows a seated nymph grooming her hair. This design is attributed to Hélène Sibeud, an artist of the Parisian school active between 1885 and 1915, whose Art Nouveau creations were often signed with the name of her workshop, "Melle Sibeud".
