Silver-plated pewter jug, with the body decorated in relief with grapes and vines motifs, with a mask of the God Bacchus under the spout of the jug.
French sculptor, adopted son of the painter Charles Suan. He studied at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he was a student of the sculptor François Jouffroy. He exhibited at the Paris Salon of 1872 and until 1909; he was a member of the Society of French Artists. He was the author of medallions, statuettes, in marble, plaster or bronze. He exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1872 to 1909; he was a member of the Society of French Artists.
