Alexandre Vibert, French Art Nouveau sculptor, was a student of Alexandre-Victor Lequien (1822-1905), Emmanuel Frémiet and Eugène Robert (1831-1912). He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1883 to 1907 and received an honorary mention in 1893. An imposing bronze group, Love Laughs at Wisdom, stood out at the 1885 Salon. He was especially recognized in the 1890s for his bronze and pewter objets d'art, produced, among others, by the founder Siot-Decauville.
Jollet & Cie, founded in Paris in 1843, quickly established itself as a prestigious foundry, renowned for the high quality of its castings, exemplifying craftsmanship and artistic excellence. A defining period in its history was the collaboration with Maison Colin and other leading Parisian bronze artists, such as Frédérick Eugène Piat, Carrier-Belleuse, Eugène Marioton and René Rozet, marking a significant stage in the French decorative arts.
