Elegant vase of the French Art Nouveau school, of refined bulbous form and wavy mouth. It presents an exquisite decoration in relief with a feminine figure holding floral garlands in the upper part, a characteristic motif of the Art Nouveau style.
A. de Raudery was a French sculptor of renowned prestige, active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He trained initially under the tutelage of his father, the painter Auguste Guillemin, and furthered his training with Jean-Jules Salmson. His technical mastery and artistic sensitivity are manifested in the care and precision of every detail of his works.
