The year 2001 was pivotal in the artist’s career, coinciding with the year he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Complutense University of Madrid. That same year, Albert won the First Prize in Sculpture from Iberia, an award dedicated to promoting young talent in Spanish contemporary art.
The sculptor Carlos Albert trained at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid and furthered his studies in Spain and the United Kingdom, specializing in wrought-iron sculpture and earning a Diploma of Advanced Studies in 2003. Since the late 1990s, he has built an extensive exhibition record in Spain, the United Kingdom, and Luxembourg, participating in exhibitions, art fairs, and artistic projects. He has received various fellowships and numerous awards, including First Prizes from the University of Seville (2002), the Fernando Quiñones Prize (2003), and the City of Melilla Prize (2008 and 2010), in addition to completing several official commissions. His work focuses primarily on steel and wrought iron, although he also works in drawing and relief.
His work is held in institutions and collections such as Caixanova, the Universities of Seville and Complutense of Madrid, the FRIDE Foundation, the Ayllón Museum of Contemporary Art, and various city councils and private collections. In 2012, the BAT Gallery in Madrid presented the book *Carlos Albert, Sculptor*, dedicated to his career and body of work.
