Member of the Royal Photographic Society. Izaskun Valmaseda is a self-taught visual artist whose work is situated at the crossroads between Fine Arts and conceptual photography. She works from the conviction that an image can be both delicate and fierce: a space where formal beauty coexists with deep emotional symbolism. He began his photographic practice in 2020, during confinement, after a career linked to the performing arts and the creation of digital content. This previous experience gave him a scenic and narrative gaze that is reflected in the composition of his works, in the relationship with bodies and in the construction of visual atmospheres. His work has been exhibited in Spain, Italy, Austria and the Netherlands, in contexts that put tradition and contemporaneity in dialogue. He has also collaborated as an artist with brands such as ViewSonic ColorPro. He currently explores the convergence between artistic photography, video art and digital intervention, incorporating new technologies - including artificial intelligence - as expressive tools. His approach does not seek to replace the artist's gaze, but rather to expand its possibilities, maintaining creative honesty and control at every stage of the process while opening the door to emerging visual languages. Each piece emerges as an investigation into memory, identity and the limits of the ephemeral. His work explores the tension between the intimate and the universal, the organic and the constructed, what remains and what inevitably transforms, forming a coherent thread that gives unity to his artistic production.
