Measurements: 126 x 128 x 59 cm.
French Empire style mahogany boureau. This is a robust and elegant piece of furniture, sober in its decoration except for the busts of the stipes that flank the drawers. The sculptural elements are made of gilded bronze. They are freely inspired by Ancient Egyptian architectural sculpture, which is common in Empire furniture. The chest of drawers contains three large drawers and the upper part, with the writing tablet and sliding top, conceals drawers also decorated with Egyptian-inspired stipites and busts.
