RAMÓN LLOVET MISEROL (Barcelona, 1917 - 1987).
"Untitled".
Lithograph, copy 9/14.
Hand signed and justified.
Measures: 73 x 53 cm; 89 x 70 cm (frame).
Ramon Llovet began his artistic studies when he was only 14 years old. He started at the Llotja School of Fine Arts in Barcelona and later completed his training at the Athenos. His interest in art was complemented by an intense interest in science, which led him to study at the Max Doerner Institute in Munich. Art, science, poetry, music, philosophy and mysticism are some of his centres of interest, and this multiplicity is reflected in the special lyricism and symbolism of his paintings, in which a studied chromatic harmony stands out above all, as can be seen in the work we are now presenting. His first exhibitions took place in the Sala Gaspar in Barcelona and later he developed an intense exhibition work both in Spain and in France, the United States and Germany. He has been awarded the Gold Medal of the Diputació de Mallorca, and is currently represented in the MACBA, as well as in important private collections.
