This artist's book, published by Artika in 2015, offers us a deep look into the life and work of Vincent van Gogh through his personal letters, drawings and paintings. A publishing proposal that allows us to delve into the sensitivity, thoughts and creative evolution of the Dutch painter.

This unique and limited edition of 2,998 copies was produced in commemoration of the 125th anniversary of Van Gogh's death. It is a reproduction of the complete collection of Vincent Van Gogh's sketchbooks, kept at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, an intimate sample of the Dutch painter's style, expression and strokes. It is a collection of four of the artist's notebooks, with sketches made by him, along with three others from the early period. It also includes a book with studies and analysis of his life and work. Also included are 17 loose-leaf plates from his unpreserved notebooks, highlighting scenes and landscapes of Paris and Antwerp. The edition is included in a wooden slipcase created especially for this edition. The cover of the book has been lined with dyed fabric and reproduces in silkscreen one of the sketches prior to the painting of the Sunflowers.
For the printing of the notebooks, different reprographic professions have been used, achieving the best result and color calibration. The cardboard covers with cloth, linen or leather spine are some of the materials selected for the faithful reproduction of the notebooks. It has cardboard covers with cloth spine, linen or leather spine, with some of the materials selected for the reproduction of the notebooks. The case is made up of two trays to protect the notebooks and a storage compartment for the plates and the notarial act. The solid beech wood display case consists of a display frame with a methacrylate cover and a lectern, the base on which the frame rests. The design of the display frame allows it to be placed on the lectern, on a flat surface or hung on the wall.

Vincent Van Gogh is one of the most recognized figures of modern art. His artistic career began late in life, around the age of 27, and although his life was brief, he produced more than 2,000 works, including some 860 oil paintings. His unique style, characterized by strong expressiveness, dynamic brushstrokes and intense use of color, was not fully recognized during his lifetime. Throughout his career, Van Gogh maintained an extensive correspondence, especially with his brother Theo, which is today a fundamental source for understanding his artistic thought and complex personality. Among his most emblematic works are The Starry Night, Sunflowers, Wheat Field with Crows and The Bedroom in Arles. His tragic life, marked by mental health problems, ended in 1890, but his legacy has profoundly influenced generations of artists and remains an inescapable reference in the history of art.
