With Olga as a candid sexual heroine in search of unsuspected lovers, The Story of Olga is a transgressive and irresistible fairy tale.
After a first collaboration with Bettina Rheims in The Book of Olga -publication that in 2008 reached an immediate success-, Olga Rodionova returns now together with Ellen von Unwerth with The Story of Olga. It is a photographic story that follows the journey of a young widow who, after the death of her wealthy and elderly husband, is dominated by an uncontainable desire. In her search for love, Olga indulges in unexpected experiences, far from the world of opulence and eccentricity to which she was accustomed. This path transforms the story into a unique fairy tale: Olga appears as a protagonist who does not deny her desire and who finds precisely in her sensuality the way to the happiness she longs for. With an imposing castle as a backdrop, surrounded by luxury and glamour, the alliance between Ellen von Unwerth and Rodionova reinterprets the lust of fairy tales and combines it with the passion of the present.
