Measurements: 37 × 16.5 cm.
The stylized female figure, one of Gaspar Camps’ most recognizable motifs, illustrates the evolution of his Modernist style toward an aesthetic closer to Art Deco. The intense red of the parasol and the green frame are hallmarks of the image’s elegant and decorative character, alongside the soft tones of the dress. The meticulous rendering of the face and hairstyle reinforces this character.
Trained at the Escola de la Llotja and active as an illustrator and poster artist, Camps achieved particular recognition for his refined depictions of women, which were linked to the development of Catalan graphic arts in the first third of the 20th century.
