Created three years before the realization of *Wrapped Reichstag*, this edition is directly linked to one of Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s most iconic projects. The image reproduces a 1992 collage in which a drawing of the future wrapped Reichstag is combined with a site plan and a photograph of the building, revealing the conceptual and planning process that preceded their monumental interventions.

Christo and Jeanne-Claude conceived the idea of wrapping the Reichstag in 1971 and worked for more than two decades to make it a reality. Following approval by the Bundestag in February 1994, the project was carried out between June 24 and July 7, 1995, covering the building with silver fabric and ropes. By concealing its usual details, the wrapping highlighted the monument’s volume, scale, and presence in the city. The work temporarily transformed one of Berlin’s most significant buildings and became one of the most renowned public art interventions of the 20th century.

Christo, in close collaboration with Jeanne-Claude (Casablanca, 1935 – New York, 2009), developed large-scale temporary projects beginning in the 1960s that transformed buildings, landscapes, and urban spaces through wrappings and other ephemeral interventions. Among his best-known projects are *Wrapped Reichstag*, *The Pont Neuf Wrapped*, and *The Gates*. Studies, drawings, and documentation of his projects are part of major institutional collections, including the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. (which holds works related to *Wrapped Reichstag*), the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
