Scene that follows the model of Holy Family established by Rafael de Sanzio. Cirilo Salinas Pérez (Burgos, 1804 - Málaga, 1878) was an outstanding Spanish architect linked to the Real Academia de Nobles Artes de San Fernando, whose mark is especially visible in the city of Málaga. Throughout his professional career he performed relevant functions as a municipal architect and also as a diocesan architect, which allowed him to leave a remarkable legacy in both civil and religious buildings.
Among his main contributions are the design of the San Miguel Cemetery, as well as the planning of numerous houses in the area of La Coracha. He also carried out projects such as the Cemetery of San Rafael, the Mesón de San Rafael, the Church of La Trinidad and the convent of La Paz, located next to the latter.
In addition to his activity as an architect, Salinas Pérez also cultivated painting, developing this artistic facet with an academic and narrative style, reflecting in his canvases the same technical rigor and sensitivity that characterized his constructions.
